Copper Coast Council has refurbished Victoria Square in Kadina, on Narungga land, in South Australia – creating a refreshed space with increased accessibility and amenity.

The project includes a new paved entrance to the park, with seating and device charging, and the ability to support community events such as local markets.

Tim Neumann, Director Of Infrastructure at Copper Coast Council, said, “Victoria Square underwent an upgrade to complement the Kadina CBD upgrade. In this section of the park we were looking for a plaza-type space where connection to the main street was the vision and key focus.”

The Victoria Square entrance features Aria seating and Mall Platforms, with durable and low maintenance aluminium woodgrain Wood Without Worry battens in Spotted Gum, and frames powder coated in textured Sable Brilliance.

Neumann said the Aria furniture was selected for its contemporary look, softened with the timber-look battens.

The area also features PowerMe Tables for outdoor wireless device charging, powder coated with a Textura Deep Ocean tabletop and Sable Brilliance frame.

Neumann says, “By adding a number of different style options, including the PowerMe Tables, we have been able to create an inclusive and inviting area, aligned with our vision and purpose.

“The whole space, including the furniture, has been well received by the community. There wouldn’t be too many days of the year when this area isn’t utilised. As the trees grow to provide cooling shade, the area will only see more and more use.”
