McGregor Coxall redesigned Marrickville’s HJ Mahoney Memorial Park with Inner West Council into a healthy, safe and attractive place for youth as part of a larger upgrade to the Cooks River Parklands.
The park includes street art walls, multi-purpose court, flexible-use space for young people, skate-able concrete seating, shelter with picnic setting, drinking fountain and landscaping.
Street Furniture Australia supplied Mall Platforms – providing table and seating in one, with Park DDA Seats and Settings with Benches for additional places for rest and recreation.
The furniture suite features aluminium woodgrain Spotted Gum battens, with Textura Monument Frames – the ultimate low maintenance combination of materials, both durable and easy to clean.
“The park is now completed and it’s exciting to see it filled with people of all ages,” say McGregor Coxall.
“It’s this inclusive and community focused vision that helps make Marrickville a great place to live, work and play.”
In 2020 Marrickville placed 10th in Time Out‘s annual ‘40 coolest neighbourhoods in the world’.
The project was completed by Regal Innovations.
